I have a busy time as an anaesthetist and love my work, but my big passion is for the outdoors. Balancing a 24/7 day and night job around getting out there isn't easy. There never seems enough time!

I've been in the mountains since I was three years old when my parents set up home on the edge of the English Lakes. Along with my group of friends I love to get out climbing trad, sport and ice. I've mountaineered across Europe and as far away as Alaska. Not everything I enjoy is vertical or pointy though, we love walking and camping as well!
